4.5. Extended product data

Under “Extended product data” you can create data which you can attach to your products.

Example – Create Extended Product Data

In the following example we go through how you can create extended product data. As an example we use “Design award” which will be used to “give awards” to selected T-shirts.

1. Create extended product
To create extended product data you need to select “Extended product data” under the “Web shop” fan. You will then get a screen with a list of the product data that is already created. Above the list you should click on “Create product data”.

2. Type*
In the field “Type” you should enter how you select or deselect the product data. We choose the type “Checkboxes”, which means we can have several “Awards” that we can activate on the specific products.

3. Title*
In the field “Title” you should enter the name of the product data. We enter “Award” so we can see where to tick when a product is presented with an award.

4. Done
Now we have created all the required data, i.e. all the fields marked with a *. To create the product data we click “Create”.

5. Create data (contents) to the product data
We have now created a new extended product data. The next step is to give it some content. You do this by clicking on “Extended product data”. You will now see a list of all the product data that is created for the web shop. You should then click on the icon which looks like a spreadsheet with a green plus sign.

6. Title*
To create contents you only need fill in the field “Title”. Here we enter “Design Award”.
You are free to choose how many times you want to repeat this step. We repeat it one more time to create ”Fair Trade”.

7. Done
You are now completely finished! We have created an extended product data variant (Award), which gives us the possibility to give some of our T-shirts an ”Award-stamp”.
