1.9. Browsers

What is a browser?

A browser is a programme that enables you to use the Internet. For a PC, Internet Explorer is the most common browser, whereas Apple uses Safari. There are more browsers available to free downloads from the Internet. The four largest are Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari and Chrome. HostedCMS works with all four browsers. 

 

What browser should you choose?

HostedCMS is optimized for all four browser (see above). However, we recommed Firefox, due to its stability and speed, when you work with the HostedCMS system. Firefox can be downloade for free online, and works with both MAC and PC.

Keep your browser up to date

Nomatter which browser you choose, it is important that your update it regularly. New versions of the browsers are launched several times a year, to ensure compliance with present web- and security standards. Also, you will ensure that you also get the most out of the HostedCMS system. New browsers introduce new technologies that HostedCMS uses in it's development. Therefore we also have to draw a line as to which browser versions we support. Supporting all would simply be too comprehensive. We follow the trendsetting companies, such as Google, when we decide which versions to support.

Internet Explorer 8+, Mozilla Firefox 4+, Safari 4+ og Chrome 4+.
