1.3. Data Lists
HostedCMS CMS and Shop include dynamic lists, which can be modified to a wide range of setups:
General
The lists are updated dynamically. This means that queries, page shifts, and other changes to the list will not cause the browser to reload the page.
This gives a more pleasant working experience. The lists show a default of maximum 20 entries per page. If there are multiple entries in the list, it is possible to browse via the buttons at the top and bottom of the list. A field displaying the page number currently being shown can also be found here. It is possible to select any page by typing a number in this field and then press ENTER.
Sort
Most columns in lists allows you to sort the data. This is done by clicking on the column title. Clicking on the title again will sort the columns in reverse order.
Order and width of columns
If you want a different order of the columns, you can click on the column name, hold the button down and drag it onto the desired position where you release the button. The list will remember the order of columns, as long as you access the administration from the same browser.
Showing and hiding columns
It is possible to hide columns you do not want to see in the list. Hold your mouse over a column and click the icon to appear to the right column. Select 'Columns' from the menu that pops up and remove the mark from the columns, which you do not want displayed. You can always show the columns again by remarking them in the similar manner.
Search
In the top left corner of all lists you will find a search box. Depending on what the list is displaying, this can be used to narrow down the results to precisely the entries you are looking for. As an example, the search field in the list of orders on the shop searches for the order number, order items and other relevant information.
Additional sorting options
Some lists have additional ways of specifying query options to the entries in the list. An example is the product catalogue in the online shop, where it is possible to see products in specific categories and products associated with certain producers.
These criteria are selected via a dropdown box. It can be used in the normal fashion by clicking the icon to the right. This brings up a list of entries, such as categories, where you can select the desired entry. Another option is to search for the desired criteria by typing in the box and then waiting for a moment. The Dropdown-box will now display the entries matching the typed in search criteria, and you can then select the entry you are seeking. This is a quick way to find the entry you seek if the dropdown list is long.
